This is because high blood pressure can increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. You should not take Crestor if you have heart disease.
You should not take this drug if you are also using certain medicines called ACE inhibitors, such as benazepril and lisinopril, or losartan, or beta-blockers (such as metoprolol and propranolol). You should not take Crestor if you are using a blood thinner, such as warfarin or aspirin.
You should not take this drug if you are pregnant or nursing. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.
